Here is an image I created using the HDR technique (high dynamic range). It was tonemapped in a piece of software called Photomatix.
It adds a resonance to the light - by no means everybodies cup of tea - yet I like it!
The image was taken at The Treasurer's House York (a National Trust Property). The House is a wonderful example of English Renaissance Architecture with some beautiful classical touches.

This statue can be found in the loggia at Hardwick Hall (at the back) and is by Westmacott (1825). You can see the full pic of the statue here
I have been reviewing my Venice stock images today, and I came across this image from the facade of Santa Maria dei Miracoli built 1489 to 1491 by Pietro Lombardo Cannaregio.
It reminds me of the Opus Sectile floor (click below) I have been photographing at Bury Parish Church.
