Art Deco Eagle, Sunlight House

Art Deco Eagle, Sunlight House, originally uploaded by fotofacade.

Sunlight House heralded the arrival of the modern movement in the town. It was the highest commercial building in Manchester when it was built in 1932 by Joseph Sunlight - the first building to be higher than the Town Hall.

Has a swimming pool in the basement which was opened by Douglas Fairbanks
